Answer. Hydrogen with iodine forms hydrogen iodide, the balanced chemical equation is

         CO(g) + 3H2(g) <======> 2HI(g)

For this reaction; the rate of forward reaction is:

                      Rf =Kf [H2][I2]

The rate of reverse reaction is:

                        Rf =Kf [HI]2

The equilibrium constant expression for this reaction is

                               [HI]2
